Zehner Helps Culver City Celebrate 100 Years
April 15, 2015
In Spring 2015, Culver City will begin commemorating its 100th birthday. While the city has a rich history in aviation and entertainment, it’s now becoming known as a growing hub for technology. Zehner, who is a part of the new tech surge in the city, is excited to be taking part in the celebrations. Working with the Centennial Committee, Zehner has been commissioned to design the official Culver City Centennial logo which will appear around the city during the festivities. The design team presented a number of logo options for consideration, and the committee voted unanimously for the winning logo. Its design, which features interlocking zeros that appear as two “C’s” can be interpreted as “Culver City” or “Commerce and Community,” two of the city’s core values. In addition to the logo, Zehner is also proud have the opportunity to design and build a website that will provide news and information about the various activities that will be taking place during the centennial celebration.
The site will feature historical notes and photos of important landmarks in the city’s history. It will also provide a calendar for those who are interested in attending events or who wish to volunteer. Over the course of the next year and a half, Zehner and Culver City will continue to collaborate in creating a digital home for information about all upcoming events and activities celebrating the city’s significant milestone.
