Terms & Privacy
Your privacy is important to Matthew Zehner, LLC, (“Zehner”) and to Zehner’s clients for whom Zehner has developed applications (such applications and websites are individually and together herein called the “Sites”). This Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used and disclosed by Zehner as a result of your accessing the Sites.
Collection of Personal Information
Zehner collects information from you in various ways when you access each of the Sites, including information that you provide directly and incidentally as a user of the Sites. Such information may include your name, street and email address, phone number, and other data from which you can be identified and contacted. Other information may also be collected when you visit any of the Sites through the automatic operation of your web browser which sends information to the Sites (as well as to every other website that you visit). Such automatically transmitted information typically includes your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, access times, browser type and language, the identity of the referring website, and information about your computer’s operating system, and your usage and activity on the Sites. Zehner uses this information, which does not identify you individually, to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track users’ movements around the Sites, and gather demographic information about the user-base as a whole.
Web beacons, which are also known as gifs, are electronic images that may be used on the Sites or in our emails. Zehner and its third party partners use Web beacons to improve content management, as well as campaign and program effectiveness, collect information, deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage, and in emails to tell if an email has been opened and acted upon.
Use of Personal Information
Zehner may use your personal information (either individually or anonymously in the aggregate with other information) to manage and improve the services it provides to users, to operate and improve the Sites, to send messages to you, and for the other purposes referred to in this Policy or disclosed to you on the Sites. Zehner uses the information that it collects for, among other things: account registration; personalizing and enhancing user experience on the Sites; responding to user comments and questions; delivering service messages and other content, including confirmations, promotional information, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts and administrative support, and product offerings by Zehner and its associates; and analyzing the performance of promotions. Zehner may store and process personal information in the United States and other countries.
Sharing of Personal Information
Updating, Accessing and Deleting your Personal Information
If your personal information changes, Zehner suggests that you correct or update that information as soon as possible. You can also request changes or access to, or deletion from Zehner’s records of, your personal information by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Unless you notify Zehner to delete your personal information, Zehner will retain such information so long as Zehner believes that it is needed to provide you with services, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce Zehner’s agreements. Subject to the foregoing retentions, Zehner will delete your personal information within 30 days after receipt of your notice.
Security of Your Personal Information
Because Zehner understands the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information, Zehner takes security measures that it believes are reasonable to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. When you enter sensitive data (such as credit card number) on our registration or order forms, Zehner encrypts that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). However, despite Zehner’s efforts, no security measures are impenetrable. If you use a password on this Site, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. If you believe your password has been misused, please advise Zehner immediately.
Choices About Use of Your Information
You may “opt-out” of receiving promotional emails from Zehner by following the instructions in those emails. You may also send requests relating to promotional messages and your permission for sharing information with third parties by emailing email@example.com. Opt-out requests will not apply to transactional service messages, including messages about your current Zehner account and services.
Links to Other Sites
The Sites may include links to other websites, whose privacy practices may be different from Zehner’s. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies which we encourage you to carefully read.
Forward to a Friend
If the Sites contain a referral service on which you want to rely to forward content to another person, you will be asked for the name and email address of that person. Zehner will retain and use that information only for the purpose of sending an email in accordance with your forwarding request and will not make such information available to anyone else. If you wish to request that your personal information no longer be used to receive these emails you may opt out of receiving these emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
Zehner may post customer testimonials, containing personally identifiable information, on the Sites without first obtaining your consent. If you wish to request that your posted testimonial be removed from the Sites you may do so by emailing Zehner at firstname.lastname@example.org
If the Sites offer publicly accessible blogs or community forums, any information that you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, contact Zehner at email@example.com. If, as is sometimes the case, Zehner is unable to remove your personal information, Zehner will try to communicate that fact to you.
Changes to this Policy
Zehner may change this Policy from time to time. If we make any changes to this Policy, Zehner will change the revision date shown in this Policy. If there are material changes to this policy and you have an account with Zehner, Zehner will notify you of such fact by email (at the address specified in your account). Zehner encourages you to review this Policy whenever you visit this Site or use one of the resident applications.
