Challenge
EpicStep was looking to develop a crowd-funding site similar to Kickstarter focused on raising money for physical billboards. They wanted to make it easy to use and share with friends and those with similar interests.
Solution
ZehnerGroup designed and developed a custom platform from the ground up to be as simple to use as possible from both a site admin and a visitor standpoint.
Result
The site launched a success getting news coverage along with being picked up by Wikileaks' Twitter and Facebook pages days after launch. The first billboard was fully funded in the first week, and could be seen on the streets of LA a week later. The platform, infrastructure, and servers were built to scale so no down time was ever experienced during peak traffic.
